Happy Mother's Day!

What a treat Mother's Day was this year because I was a mommy! The Saturday before Mother's Day we invited our Mom's (Dan Michael's Grandmother's) over for a crawfish boil. The celebration was a hit. We had all the kiddies in the baby pool, we ate, listened to good music and enjoyed great company.

On Sunday we celebrated by going to church and then coming home for so rest and relaxation. Rest and relaxation is a rare treat for me and Dan, we are on the go all to often. After that we head to Paul and Ann's house for a mother's day brunch. There Dan Michael, Uncle Paul and I swan the day away. The others cooked, and ate, cooked and ate.

Happy 9 Months Big Boy!

Can you believe that our little man is 9 months? Well believe it, because on May 8th, 2009 he hit the 9 month mark. He's an amazing little guy.

Weight:
20 lbs. 2.5 oz (25%- 50%)

Height:
29 inches (75%)
Head:
18 inches (50%-75%)
Talking:
He's making so many sounds that its hard for me to keep up. Let's see, here's what he's saying (trying to put it in order of what came first):
ahh
da-da
ma-ma
na-na
ka-ka
ga-ga
da-e
I think that's everything. Its seems like every couple of days he gets another sound.

Eating:
No more baby food. He refuses to eat baby food out of a jar. He loves, loves, loves Cheerios. Dan Michael also hates to be fed off of a spoon, he wants to feed himself everything. So, we have to find things that he can feed himself and we break it up small enough for him to eat. He enjoys mashed potatoes but it depends on his mood if he going to eat them off the spoon. Seems to be pretty independent.
Crawling/Cruising:
Dan Michael has masted crawling. He's quick, and loves to chase Mollie. If you not looking and he gets a away, your most likely to find him in a bathroom. Not sure why, but he loves bathrooms!
Yep, he's getting to be a big boy, cruising along the furniture. He has let go before, only to fall right on his behind. I think he will walk before his first birthday but only time can really tell.

Sorry, its been a little bit since I last updated. We are so very busy with this little guys that it seems like there is no time for anything else. He's is on go. Dan Michael is crawling all over. If he sees an open door he's heading out of it. If he see stairs he's climbing up them and falling back down them. We have to try keep an eye on him at all times.

Dan Michael now has 6 teeth. He has four at the top including his front two and two at the bottom. He uses those teeth to eat anything and everything. Dan Michael loves Cheerios, donuts, french fries, and pretty much anything else you put in front of him. For as much as he eats I'm surprise he's not fatter. I mean this kid eats a lot! He still loves to have his milk, formula. Dan Micheal seems pretty advanced but he still refuses to hold his own bottle. Its crazy! He can hold it, but he chooses not to. Dan and I agree that he will walk and we we still have to hold his bottle for him. Shoot, we may be holding his beers for him when he's 21.

Dan Michael is still a very happy and social baby. He's very inquisitive. He enjoys water. We take him swimming just about every weekend. We also took Dan Michael on his first fishing trip. We went down to Pat Fannings camp in Hopedale and enjoyed a day on the water.
Our sweet boy has sort of bizarre sleeping habits. Some nights he wakes up only one time for a bottle while other nights he wakes up every three hours. It may be due to the fact that we have no sort of set schedule. He takes random naps throughout the day for about 30-40 minutes. When he gets really tired he starts punching himself in the head. Weird right? When he's really tired he doesn't get fussy like most babies he get silly and punches himself in the head. HA ha.
I think that's all the updating I have for now. Enjoy!
