5th Ultrasound
We headed to the doctor's office again yesterday to check up on things b/c since the last visit I had experienced some complications again. Thank goodness all is well and actually things are getting better. The placenta has already started to shift to the correct position. The doctor now has no concerns that it will cause me any problems, YAHOO! The baby is doing great. Here's the scoop, I saw the 2 arms and 2 legs kicking and swinging in the womb; the baby is weighing in at 3 ounces..so cool; the heartbeat is 165 per minute; everything is measuring how it should.. and yesterday Baby Crowley measured 14 weeks and 4 days old. By the way, I tried my very best to see the sex of the baby, but it was too blurry to tell for sure. We think we saw something that resembled a little weenie, but it is NOT definite. I've had two dreams that I'm having a little man, so I'm not sure if that is some sort of clue. Either way we are so excited that everything is going so well and our little one is doing so well. I'm a bit anxious to meet the baby, to think I have 25 weeks left is just a bit frustrating.Yesterday I spent the day at the hospital with our friends Adrianne and Lenny Delbert who welcomed their first child into the world. Happy Birthday Graycen Theresa Delbert! Graycen was an impressive 9 lbs 8 oz. Congrats Delberts.

How do you like being pregnant? 13 weeks and 1 day

I've been asked the question, "How do you like being pregnant?" numerous times so I thought I'd write about it. To be completely honest, I'm very surprised that I'm truly enjoying it as much as I am. Dan has been great, my family on a whole as been great and I think that all makes it even more a pleasurable experience. I know what you all are curious about... the NO DRINKING aspect. Not even an issue, doesn't bother me at all. I must be honest I look forward to a glass of red red wine once the baby is out but I'm not tempted by it at this point. Since I've found out that I'm pregnant I haven't had a stress in the world. Maybe the baby is all that really matters to me right now, not sure, but its some nice having such peace of mind. I sleep great and have sweet dreams, something I never had before being pregnant. That could have been due to the wine with dinner every night, ha. If being pregnant is this GREAT then Dan and I need to get a larger home because I may want to take it up as a hobby. I know its early on for all you "nay sayers" but so far so awesome!
As always, please keep us in your prayers.

Another trip to the Doctor, 4th ultrasound
It seems like I visit the doctors office once a week now, but no worries everything is still ok. After a busy Mardi Gras I called to inform my doctor that I had experienced bleeding Sunday morning and also Tuesday afternoon, they wanted me to come in to be sure all was ok. I don't freak out any longer when I see the blood b/c I have now come to realize that its just something I have to deal with and it has yet to affect Baby Crowley. Finally after another ultrasound we have found out what is the cause of the bleeding, placenta previa. The placenta is sitting low and with too much activity I can cause blood vessels to burst which in turn causes a gushing of blood. The doctor has informed me that I must take it easy, and that some doctors would put their patients on strict bed rest. Since I'm so early in the pregnancy the doctor is hoping to see the placenta shift to the correct spot. The baby is doing great, this was the fourth ultrasound and the baby is getting bigger and bigger. We tried to peep to see what the sex is but unfortunately it is still too early. I'm scheduled to head back to the doctor in 3 weeks and that visit should be the one we find out what we are blessed with.Again, please keep us in your prayers!

3rd Visit to the Doctor

Although we have been to doctors three times and I am only finishing up my 1st trimester, everything is GREAT! There have been some concerns due to spotting but during the last ultrasound Dr Schiavi found an implantation spot that she believes is causing the spotting. This spot is not indangering Baby Crowley so there are no concerns.. I am feeling just fine, maybe a bit tired but that's not a big deal. Enough about me, now let's talk about the baby. Baby Crowley is measuring 12 weeks, although the due date is August 22, so that would put the baby at about 11 weeks... who knows? During the last ultrasound we able to see two little arms and two little legs. I must say that it is just amazing how babies form so quickly. I have been doing some reading to keep up with the development and here's what happening... The baby weight between 1/3 and 1/2 ounce, and is about 2 1/2 inches long, I have high heels bigger then that, ha. In the 11th week the baby's external genetalia began to show distinguishing features, YAHOO! By the way, we are finding out what our little one is. I had a dream not too long ago that it was a baby boy, BABY DAN! The babies bones are forming, nails are appearing, and possibly some hair on the body. The brain has developed, I hope we have a genius on our hands..we'll see. I am sure there is much, much more but you get the idea. That is it for now, PICTURES TO COME SHORTLY. HAve a safe and Happy Mardi Gras

2nd visit to the doctor

So far, I feel great! I've experienced no sickness and very little fatigue. For all of you out there cheering for me to get big and fat its yet to happen, I've actually lost weight. My husband can vouch for me, I have been eating like a champ. Some say that the baby is just burning up all the extra calories in the process of forming all the special little parts that are going to make up baby crowley.
That's about it for now, please keep us in your prayers!
GO TIGERS!

Our 1st visit to the Doctor!
