Getting So Big So Fast!

Our baby boy is growing up way too fast. Yes, I love every minute of it but I just wish I could slow it down a bit. I feel like since he started crawling that its now one thing after another. Dan Michael is quite a character. He's very silly always laughing. He's also beginning to mimic sounds and motions that I do. For example, when I clap for him he slaps his leg to make to the same sound. Another example is when I was giving him kisses this morning he started make kiss sound back at me. So stinking CUTE!

Dan Michael is a man on the go. He's got the crawling down and his now taking on cruising. Yes, I think he's very brave. After the number of falls he's experienced he has no fear of pulling himself up and letting go.

Guess what else? Dan Michael has two of his top teeth coming in! Soon enough he will have a full grill. With new teeth comes table food. We have given him grits, eggs, french fries, and I even gave him some ice cream the other night. He's loved it all. I'm not sure if he's going to turn any food away. He still eats his baby food and he still loves his Graduates but table food is a treat to him.

With Dan Michael crawling and growing more curious we have started to have to discipline. What I mean by that is the word "NO." I wasn't sure if I was starting to soon but I've been advised its the right thing to do. He likes to get into the bathroom and play with the toilet, hehee. So, we tell him "NO" and then move him to another room. I'm not sure if he understands yet, but he doesn't put up a fuss about it. I'll keep you posted b/c I think in time when we say "NO" he's going to have a fit.

Crawling..

This past Sunday was not only a very nice family day but also a big day for Dan Michael. He decided to show us how he can crawl like a big boy and he also showed us how he can hang over the side of his bed. He's been on the verge of crawling for some time now so it was no BIG surprise that he finally put it all together. We are on the go now. As for the bed story, we had a house full of people so when we heard him crying Uncle Paul and Dan rushed to his rescue. They were both taken back by what they found. Dan Michael standing in his bed reaching over the side. All the guys were then put to work to lower the bed. It was quite comical because at this point we had all had some wine. They disassembled the bed and drop it lower, so we all thought. We put the mattess back on only to realize that it was no lower so we had to start all over again. HAHA, so funny! We finally got the bed lowered and put back togehter. I also brought out Dan Michael's play mustaches for more fun.

Puppy Love

Dan Michael and Mollie are two peas in a pod. When Mollie goes to lick Dan Michael in the face, he sticks his tongue out to lick Mollie back. I know its gross, but its also very funny.

My 1st Mardi Gras

We had a great Mardi Gras. Dan Michael loved it as much as I do. He seems to really enjoy the bands and the dancing girls more then the floats. I look forward to next year when he really knows what's going on.
